Central Florida Helpline is a non-denominational ministry, founded in 1986. Christian volunteers from many denominations in our community serve together as the body of Christ with a common goal of loving God and our neighbor.
VISION STATEMENT
To be a resource of help and support in our community, working together in unity with other organizations, providing assistance and opportunities for personal growth and spiritual fulfillment.
MISSION STATEMENT
To fulfill our vision, Central Florida Helpline has a 3-fold mission:
- To provide a free, confidential Christian helpline/prayer line that anyone can call to find help for spiritual, emotional or physical needs.
- To provide a Community Resource Directory of agencies, programs and services available to help people in need of assistance.
- To provide a variety of training courses designed to prepare the Christian lay person for personal ministry in their families, workplaces and community.
CORE VALUES
Core Values are the unified beliefs that guide our decisions and define the character of our organization. Our core values are:
- Christ Centered
- Our Statement of Faith defines the beliefs that unify all who are involved in this ministry. We also believe that we have been called to share the love of God, His plan of forgiveness and salvation through Jesus Christ, and the transforming power of His Holy Spirit with all who would receive Him, without imposing religious beliefs on anyone.
- Personal Ministry
- We believe that each person should use whatever gifts he has received from God to serve others, faithfully administering God's grace in its various forms.
- Ecumenical Spirit
- We believe that it is God's plan for Christians to come together to build relationships and share their spiritual gifts with each other, in a cooperative manner, for the purpose of building up the Body of Christ.
- Teamwork
- We believe God calls people with different strengths and weaknesses to serve together. Therefore, we value our differences, knowing that these provide opportunities for personal growth and more effective ministry.
